Miller made a perfect debut in Major League

Yankee Stadium packed with more than 15000 people witnessed Andrew Miller’s success in his first match in Major League. Andrew Miller stepped into the big league with almost flawless inning, very much like his ever-so-brief minor league career. It was Andrew’s first Major league appearance, which came just 64 days after his last college game in the College World Series. Andrew Miller was quite nervous and he couldn’t really answer what exactly was going through his mind when he was gearing up for his first hitter. He said, “My heart was racing so fast, I just kept thinking, ‘Slow down, slow down.’ I was just trying to throw everything over the plate. If I gave it everything I had at that point in time, there’s no way I would’ve been anywhere near the plate.”
Behind this nervousness and tension there was a determination to win, to prove oneself. His first-pitch fastball hit the strike zone at 95 mph and he topped that with a 97-mph hitter two batters later to Damon. He stimulated an idle flyball, a chopper to third, and a roller to third. When Inge asked him “How did it feel?” He replied, “It was awesome. At one point, I looked over and Johnny Damon was at first and I was pitching to Derek Jeter, and I’m like pinching myself. I started cracking up. It’s good. It’s how it should be.”
I wish him all the very best for his future endeavors.
