Astros will not let Biggio go..

Year 2007 will be historical in the history of Astros if Biggio stays with the team. Fourty year old second baseman Biggio is one of the most respected and loved players. He has been re-signed many times by the Astros, he holds a special place in hearts of his fans, his city as well as his team owner. Astros owner Drayton McLane doesn’t want the future Hall of Famer to go till he collect his 3000th hit next season. Biggio was only 84 hits away from his 3,000th  on Wednesday. Biggio, has completed 19 long seasons with the club and probably this is the reason McLane wants him to collect his 3000 hit in Astros uniform. So lets wait and watch, how Biggio gather his 3000th hit next year. Biggio and his wife Patty have raised over $2 million for the Sunshine Kids over the years in Houston to support children battling cancer. Now, these innocent kids are praying for this kind hearted but strong player to achieve his career heights.
