Wednesday was a day of hopes, but as soon the light turned dark, White Sox got black in fact blank. The Tigers wiped out White Sox; they purged the only prospect for the White Sox to reach playoff. Their playoff hopes took an even bleaker turn. Detroit obliterated pragmatic hope of Jon Garland winning 20 games with a clutch-hitting 6-2 victory that further strained the Sox’s probability of landing a postseason berth.
I still remember the days of charismatic aura of Sox. But that span was short; the team was in limelight for a limited period. No team in baseball was better than the one they had suffered with all these years, and the repayment appeared sweet. You might memorize it as the time that your grandfather and great aunt were more contented than they had been since 1959, if not their entire lives. But its history now. White Sox need to work hard, if they want to be champs again. Well, this season is over for White’s , but they will definitely get another chance next year. So it time to say goodbye to Major League and start preparing for the next season.
