Defending champs Chicago White Sox couldn’t save a place in playoffs. They failed to secure their division crown, and they won’t repeat as AL or World Series champions. Monday night was a dark night for White Sox; they faded to black. The Chicago is close to an early winter vacation in fact they have already packed their bags. Chisox is very disappointed with their poor performance, being a good time expectations were high from the team. When a good team plays you expect that team will travel a long distance. But White Sox didn’t move in the direction it was suppose to. Ozie Guillen, manager of the team himself stated “We didn’t play up to expectations,it was a disappointing year for me. I get paid to win games and we didn’t.” He is absolutely right. It certainly wasn’t their season. After being facing their most awry defeat of the season, White Sox was knocked out from the playoff chase when the Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 8-1 to secure at least a wild-card berth. But this was not the major reason, they actually didn’t field good or hit good. They had an inconsistent performance this year. Playing good games for few days is not the sufficient for your long stay in world championship.
‘We just ran out of steam,’ Paul Konerko said. ‘Why? I don’t know. Sometimes that just happens.’ Now lets see bid goodbye to White Sox and wish them luck for next season.
