Blue Jays had a season of an accomplishment, a defeat and an important building block last year. They were legitimately a factor, both in Toronto and across the league. Their success was a result of increased payroll from US$20million to about $70 million. They attained second place in the American League East with an 87-75 record. They prosperously connoted five high-profile players into the team. These five players were named all-stars and added another feather in the Toronto’s crown. As a team they gained the priceless experience of playing with expectations. And a handful of players established themselves as productive big-leaguers. Blue Jays are again planning to increase the payrolls to increase the productivity of the team. Lets hope it will again work as a miracle this season.
