Today, I am writing this web log to pay my homage to Yankee’s star pitcher Cory Lidle, who died in an unfortunate plane crash. Lidle had recently earned his pilot’s license in the off season and was sitting at the controls, when his plane sliced the 40th story of the Upper East Side tower and exploded into a huge fireball.
All Cory fans and friends are in deep mourn. His sudden demise has shocked and terribly saddened entire baseball community. “This is a terrible and shocking tragedy that has stunned the entire Yankees organization,” Yankees owner George Steinbrenner said in a statement. “I offer my deep condolences and prayers to his wife, Melanie, and son, Christopher, on their enormous loss.”
Cory was just 34 years old and had played in the Major Leagues for nine seasons with seven different clubs. He leaves a young wife, Melanie, and a young son, Christopher. Cory’s death is a big loss to Yankees in fact whole baseball. I offer my deep condolences and prayers to his wife, Melanie, and son, Christopher, on their enormous loss. May god bless his soul.
