In a situation of uncertainty whether he will be playing for next season or not, Barry Bonds filed for free agent five weeks ago. Whatever Bonds plans are, San Francisco Giants still want Bonds to be on their roster for 2007 season.
Bonds age and his elbow surgery may be a factor of doubt for his fans, although Giants have complete trust in him. Giants General Manager Brian Sabean wants Bonds to play for at least next season as team’s fourth hitter.

Barry Bonds has spent a big part of his Major league baseball career with San Francisco. He made place in heart of 3 million fans in all seven seasons of their waterfront ballpark’s existence.
Bonds has 734 home runs, 22 from breaking Aaron’s mark. After missing all but 14 games in 2005 following three operations on his right knee, Bonds batted .270 with 26 homers and 77 RBIs in 367 at-bats in 2006.
Rumors were in the air that Bonds may not be a part of Giants this season, but GM has clarified all the doubts and declared his interest in Bonds.
