Largest Deal In The History Of Brewers

Jeff Suppan who turned 32 on Tuesday, has signed a new venture with Milwaukee Brewers. He has agreed on a four year contract with the club on Christmas Eve. Brewers made the deal for $42million over the next four years, with an option for a fifth year. This is the biggest deal in the club’s history.

Jeff Suppan
Suppan has made at least 31 starts in eight successive seasons, and had pitched at least 200 innings in five straight seasons before his most recent three-year tenure in St. Louis under manager Tony La Russa. For his career, Suppan is 106-101 in parts of 12 seasons, including 12-2 against Milwaukee. He has a 5-0 record in seven starts at Miller Park, a run of success he cannot quite elucidate.
Denying all the rumors Suppan said he had personal interest in joining the Milwaukee. He was not waiting for Barry Bonds or anyone else decisions. He was looking for the right team for himself, and that is Brewers, so without a delay he shook hands with the club.
