Schilling’s contract with the Red Sox will end after the 2007 season, but discussions for an extension are still going on. But if things do not work out and Schilling has to file for free agency, he will pitch for some other team, but not the New York Yankees. 40 year old Schilling will not follow the path of his friend Randy Johnson and move to New York after this season.
Schilling was 15-7 with a 3.97 ERA in 2006 and is 207-138 over his career that started in 1988.
