Schilling, playing for his fourth season with the Red Sox at age 40, still considers himself the chief of the pitching squad. Schilling is not in a mood to retire after the 2007 season as formerly stated, but he desires for a deal for next season settled during spring training. During 2006 season, he succeeded in his first four starts for the first time in his career and had 10 wins at the All-Star break, but ended with 15-7 with a 3.97 ERA
