Jonathan Papelbon overwhelmed the Philadelphia Phillies and appeared much better than Scott Kazmir did in his former start since last year’s shoulder injury.
Moving from closer to beginner this year, Papelbon scored out Philadelphia’s 2-3-4 hitters including NL MVP Ryan Howard.
Jonathan Papelbon
Red Sox’s twenty six year old right- hander Papeblon concluded his stellar rookie season ahead of time as a closer after shoulder weariness. He retired all six batters he face on 26 pitches, 18 of them strikes. He concluded his noon by choking Aaron Rowand.
Everybody can make out Papelbon’s caliber, and audacity he has on the ground. The challenge in switching back to beginning, a position he played in the Minor Leagues, is edifying his patience, stamina and gaining sway of all of his pitches.
