Sunday saw the Yankees experience a magnificent night which has been happening to them lately. The Pittsburgh Pirates did not see this coming. The Yankees had there canons ready and sunk the Pirates in a crushing defeat for Pittsburgh. Alex Rodriguez was hot and homered twice to assist the New York Yankees to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 13-6.
It has been sometime since the Yankees showed their true colors, and it was about time. Rodriguez made his 23rd and 24th home runs pushing the Yankees to their sixth straight game. I bet the Pirates, hoped the Yankees would disappoint as they have most of this season, but the Yankees came ready to take the game and captivate themselves up the table.
Other great plays came from Bobby Abreu who went for four for four with three RBI’s, with Abreu and Rodriguez scoring four times. Hideki Matsui helped the Yankees set a season high for runs when he made a two run double. This was the New York Yankees ninth win in eleven games and was a pick up having not had such a winning streak since September last year
