The San Francisco Giants had a hell of a time facing the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. The Red’s pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka had a memorable game helping the Red Sox take the win 1-0, from the Giants in a very tight game. Even while facing the home run king Barry Bonds in the game decider, Matsuzaka still managed to hold the game and get the win.
Daisuke was winning for the first time in his four starts and managed to strike out eight San Francisco Giant players in seven innings and managed to let them get three hits in the whole game. Manny Ramirez was also a key player game because he made the only home run in the game that took the Boston Red Sox to the win.
Manny managed to get rid of his home run drought as well as ended a fifty at bat homerless streak. This was the second of three games of the series against the Giants that the Boston Red Sox have won which gives them the series win of 2-0.
