What a day it was when two of baseballs greats manage to make the history books all in the same day. Craig Biggio managed to make his 3,000th hit in front of his home crowd. Frank Thomas on the other hand managed to become the twenty first in baseball history to make five hundred home runs.
Biggio became the first player to make five hits in the game against Colorado, which is a first in baseball history and made him one of the greatest baseball players still playing the game. He had previously passed Babe Ruth in doubles made and had also Carl Yastrzemski in was proving that he had the stamina to make it to the top. In fact all the players in the standings that Biggio has reached have made it to be a hall of famer so I guess so is Craig.
Thomas managed to make to the record books by making his 500th home run, which he is glad he has finally made. Looks like this baseball season will be a season where several players reach the big numbers and break records. This is one season I can’t miss for the world.
