The New York Yankees Derek Jeter proved to be the stepping stone for the Yankees as he helped the team cruise with fifteen hits and eleven runs at Saturday’s game. Derek helped crush the Mets Tom Glavine who gave up seven runs on seven hits in four innings. This hot streak that the Yankee captain is on has helped him extend his hitting streak to eleven games and has twenty four multi-hit games this year.
Other key players included Miguel Cairo, Hideki Matsui, Alex Rodriguez, and Robinson Cano who all managed to make multiple hits and RBIs in this game. Jeter managed to have a four for five day that included a double in the second inning and two run home run in the fourth inning.
