Minneapolis was rejoicing after beating the A’s 4-3 and clinching a chance at the playoffs. It began with Boofer Bonser’s start and they kept on going with everyone contributing a little something and helping the team make it to the finish. It has been tough for the team but with this win and the players ready and willing they might just make it to the playoffs.
Justin Morneau made a home run which tied the game at three in the eighth inning and managed to make his twenty fifth home run which helped the Twins beat the Athletics at home. The A’s who are struggling did manage to get one home run from Eric Chavez but this did not help them and have now lost seven games in a row.
The Minnesota Twins took all four games that they played against the Athletics and with players like Joe Mauer who made the winning run in the ninth inning the Twins managed to take their first all game sweep since baseball season started.
