Justin Morneau was on a hot streak in Chicago as the Minnesota Twins faced the White Sox in the second game of a doubleheader that ended with the Twins beating the Sox 12-0. Justin managed to make three home runs in the day and night doubleheader second game, on Friday night.
Having made three homers in one game made Morneau the fourth player in the big leagues to make such a play in a game this season. The Twins took another win from the White Sox having beaten them the previous game 20-14, which gave manager Ron Gardenhire his five hundred career win.
In this six hour game, milestones where reached and people got into the history books. Justin’s three home runs placed him as the fourth Twin’s player to ever hit three homers in a game. Other notable Twins’ players who have hit three homers in a game include Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva and Bob Allison.
