KEN GRIFFEY JR. IS AT IT AGAIN

Pitcher Kyle Lohse gets congratulated by team mate David Ross after pitching a magnificent game against the Diamondbacks

As Cincinnati faced the Arizona Diamondbacks and beat them 8-1, much of this would be attributed with the help of Ken Griffey Jr. As he moved into sixth place on the all time list and tied with Hall of Famer, Frank Robinson, Griffey managed to put pressure on the slumping Diamondbacks and reached his 586 career home runs.  

Other notable players where players like Kyle Lohse who pitched a complete game four hitter, which helped him, win back to back starts for the first time this season. Other players like Adam Dunn and Brandon Phillips also managed to make home runs and push the Reds to a magnificent win.

This was Griffey’s twenty third home run of this season, which helped the Cincinnati Reds win back to back games for the first time since winning the Cleveland Indians and the Angels in June. Lohse had five strikeouts and two walk in his sixth career complete game.
