It was a magnificent game to watch and fans left the game satisfied that their team was back in the running. The Yanks trashed the Devil Rays 21-4 and managed to take the doubleheader game and confirmed to themselves that they can make it to the playoffs after having had a bad start this season.

Rookie Shelly Duncan made two home runs and Alex Rodriguez or A-Rod managed to make it to his thirty fourth home run, which is his four hundred and ninety eighth in his career. New York managed to hit twenty five hits, while reaching twenty hits for the second straight game.
