
The Boston Red sox faced the Chicago White Sox and gave them a run for their money, beating them 8-5 on Sunday afternoon. The Red Sox enjoyed their bliss full afternoon after taking the white sox for a ride that Chicago couldn’t handle and found it hard to beat. Hideki Okajima pitching was magnificent and managed to get the Red Sox out of a sticky situation that they had put themselves into. By the time Okajima got onto the field in the sixth inning the bases where loaded and two outs in the top of the seventh.
It had started with the Red Sox having a seven run lead over the White Sox, then Chicago retaliated and just when they thought they had it with A.J Pierzynski at bat, Hideki came in and in moments with three strikes out of some serious fastball’s the White Sox hopes vanished right in front of them. The Red Sox managed to maintain their lead in the American League East over the surging Yankees with their 7 1/2-games.
